Overview

Summary

Maintain and support the quality programs of the organization. Provide quality monitoring, through audits and data review, to verify compliance to regulatory standards and best practice. Analyze, determine, facilitate, and implement continuous process improvement initiatives to achieve optimization of organizational processes and systems.

 

Compensation for this position is $69,000-$77,688 annually

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

The following essential functions are the basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Adhere to all policies and procedures in carrying out the responsibilities of this position.
  • Support and maintain key quality programs including Document Control, Auditing, Occurrence Reporting, and Process Improvement
    • Conduct internal audits related to corrective action implementation verification, occurrence investigation, process improvement planning and participate in external audits related to compliance verification, accreditation, licensure, and other regulatory requirements
    • Support the Occurrence Reporting program through facilitation of occurrence investigation and corrective/preventive action development, planning, and implementation
  • Flexibility to occasionally perform quality related tasks (i.e. auditing) on second or third shift as is requisite and as scheduled with manager
  • Facilitate process improvement discovery, solution development and implementation through established process improvement methodologies and other relevant problem-solving resources Obtain and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify non-conformities, deficiencies, and process improvement opportunities to determine solutions and promote data driven decisions
  • Analyze processes and workflows to identify opportunities for waste reduction and improved process efficiency
  • Facilitate and guide quality workgroups and process improvement teams to keep process improvement planning initiatives on track and to achieve timely implementation of process improvement solutions
  • Provide mentoring and subject matter expertise on our quality programs to various internal and external entities, to support the Quality Plan and the Mission and Vision of the organization
  • Ensure the implementation of new and enhanced processes through timely verification and follow up
  • Collaborate with both clinical and non-clinical departments to measure and monitor key performance metrics
  • Prepare and present reports related to quality programs for various customers including senior leadership
  • Ensure assigned tasks are completed timely with high attention to detail and with professional discretion.

Qualifications

Education and Training Required

The following identifies the minimum education and training required to perform the essential functions of the job.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Certification in process improvement (e.g. Six Sigma Green Belt), and certification in quality assurance auditing (e.g. ASQ Certified Quality Auditor), or the ability to obtain certifications within 12 months of hire or promotion

 

Experience and Skills Required

The following indicates the minimum skills and experience required to perform the essential functions of the job.

  • Proven experience in quality inspection and auditing
  • Technical knowledge and demonstrated application of Process Improvement methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Computer skills and knowledge of QA databases and applications
  • Exceptional investigative and problem-solving skills including:
    • Ability to independently and collaboratively identify a problem or issue from limited or partial data
    • Independently or collaboratively gather information from testing and observation
    • Independently develop, or contribute to developing, solutions for an identified problem
    • Test solutions and monitor future information for solution effectiveness
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels within the organization
