This role requires the employee to be available on nights, weekends and holidays (as agreed upon by the department and the supervisor) to meet organizational needs and ensure proper coverage.  The primary function of the Donation & Family Advocate is to obtain authorization for organ and tissue donation, and provide donor family support and follow-up.  The Donation and Family Advocate should exemplify Gift of Hope core values of passionate people, outstanding teams and compassionate service.   Compensation range for this position is $64,235 - $72,235 annually

Responsible for managing daily referral activity, both through new and ongoing referrals; responsible for timely referral response, assessment, and evaluation of potential organ donors; collaborates with clinical, family and hospital resources to set-up optimal coverage of referrals; evaluates the need of each referral and engages appropriate Gift of Hope staff to effectively manage all referrals to a successful outcome; facilitates the gift of donation through the evaluation, authorization, medical management, and distribution of organs for transplantation or research from deceased organ donors This is a night shift position, 1900-0700.   Compensation range for this position is $34.95-$39.42 per hour.

Compensation range for this position is $62,913 $70,777 annually

Coordinates the placement of organs from deceased donors via the national organ allocation system; Assists in the machine perfusion of deceased donor kidneys.   Compensation range for this position is $26.63-30.00 per hour plus applicable night shift differential. 

Coordinates the evaluation, authorization, medical management, surgical recovery and distribution of organs for transplantation or research from deceased organ donors; works with other departments and hospital or transplant teams to facilitate the recovery of organs and tissues for transplantation or research.   Compensation range for this position is $41.39/hour to $44.35/hour depending on experience.  This positions is also eligible for night shift differential.
