  • Overview

    Full time driver position with hours of 11:00-19:00 (11 AM - 7 PM) and some shifts of 1400-2200 (2pm-10pm), and alternating weekends. 

    The primary responsbililty is providing for transportation needs, however, when not driving, you would be performing maintenance tasks throughout the building and grounds.  


    • Support Gift of Hope’s mission, vision, and values; adhere to its policies and procedures in carrying out the responsibilities of this position
    • Work assigned schedule Provide emergency and non-emergency ground transportation for organ and tissue recovery departments including human organs, blood and tissue samples,  tissue team, and organ department staff, and external organ procurement teams
    • Perform tasks around the facility
    • pick up and deliver organs to transplant centers or airports
    • provide transportation for emergency medical teams
    • pick up samples for each case and deliver supplies on-site to hospitals
    • deliver supplies for community affairs
    • conducting building security and safety tours
    • escorting employees to personal vehicles
    • light bulb replacement
    • restocking  bathroom  and lunchroom supplies
    • monitoring salt level in water softener
    • monitoring alarm panel for generator
    • some landscaping duties
    • trash removal
    • maintenance of exercise equipment
    • snow removal
    • fire extinguisher inspections
    • flushing drains
    • monitoring alarm panel for ionized water tank
    • Keep all Gift of Hope vehicles clean and in proper working condition; report problems immediately to the supervisor
    • Drive vehicles to commercial garage for periodic servicing
    • Compile and submit a daily Vehicle Maintenance Checklist for each vehicle
    • Other duties as assigned


    HS diploma or equivilent, at least 25 years of age and clean driving record.
