Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network, one of the nation’s busiest organ procurement organizations is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator. 


The Human Resource Coordinator assist with various administrative functions for the Human Resources department, which include but are not limited to maintaining employee files, HRIS data entry, new hire orientation, and other projects as assigned.


  • Support Gift of Hope’s mission, vision, and values; adhere to its policies and procedures in carrying out the responsibilities of this position
  • Answer employee questions and requests regarding benefits, HR policy and procedures
  • Lead the new hire orientation process and make recommendations for continuous improvement; prepare new hire paperwork; new hire data entry using HR system
  • Prepare new-hire offer letters; process and review background checks
  • Create and maintain employee personnel, medical, and benefit files
  • Perform administrative functions, including, but not limited to: photocopying, scanning, filing, and emailing human resources related documents
  • Organize and process updates in the Human Resources and Learning Management Systems
  • Assist with employee benefit programs including the annual open enrollment process
  • Support the recruitment process as needed
  • Compile, organize, update and analyze data in Excel for benefits and other HR needs
  • Support payroll processing by updating employee changes in the HR system.
  • Lead the processing of education assistance applications and employee referrals
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned


  • Education and Training Required

    • Associate’s degree in human resources or other related field required; Bachelor’s degree in human resources strongly preferred.


    Experience and Skills Required

    • 1-3 years human resources experience
    • Knowledge of federal and state employment law, and regulatory compliance
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization and with vendors
    • Position involves exposure to sensitive information, necessitating considerable use of discretion and judgement
    • Ability to convey a positive and professional image to employees
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
    • Ability to research and analyze various types of data
    • Ability to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with policies procedures, regulations, and past practice
    • Ability to operate under tight deadlines and changing priorities
    • Highly organized with the ability to pay attention to detail to assure accuracy and completeness of records and data
    • Knowledge of HRIS systems is preferred
